The more I read about Borat, the more I am interested in it not just as a hilarious satire, but as an angry, aggressive film. Will it do well in the box office? Now, I feel like Fox pulled out of half their theaters not because of how good or funny the movie is or isn't, but because a lot of people just won't get it. America isn't ready for ( Read more... )

omg I almost died of laughter over the cat. Seriously.
As for Borat... I think it looks hi-lar-i-ous. But I still might just wait to Netflix it... theatres are too expensive these days.

I think a lot of people in America laugh at th Borat character for all th wrong reasons, sadly.

i would have thought that, but i went today (oh, i couldn't resist, even though i'm going with the pa and bro tomorrow) and there was a lot of pained silence. i do definitely think a lot of people think it's funny that borat hates jews etc, but it makes you think a lot more than i would have expected. are you planning on seeing it? i recommend it, all politics aside (if you can do that!), it's hilarious.

I'll probably wait till it comes to my university for 2$, I am cheap as hell. I kind of want to rewatch Da Ali G Show first, as it's been ages since I watched any of it.

i didn't like the ali g show much! i think it was because i was (and still am, i guess) put off by the ali g character. but i need to watch it again, also because there's going to be a bruno movie i guess?! i feel like i might appreciate it more now, who knows.
