I spent half the day with the museum experiences team in a meeting about moveable museums, and half the day in the Discovery RoomDid I mention how much the museum reminds me of Morehead Planterium? Oooh... I always did want to go poke around in the innards of a museum like that. I bet they have twice their collection in the back.

They do! They have rooms and rooms of dinosaur bones in the basement! Some rooms have just skulls in them, and some have odd bones that don't go together. Someday I'll find a way to explore the depths of the museum and report back.

Excellent.. one of my friends was telling me about going there to scan lemur skulls to do some sort of analysis on them. I'd imagine there'd be all sorts of rooms. Do they ever let you give backstage tours?

My first week at a new job, I usually have repetitive and stressful dreams that I am doing that job. (The ones about working for an airline were especially so - I dreamed that I had to cancel every flight to Houston because we were out of snacks, because that day I had learned where to find the indicator over whether a snack or meal would be served on a given flight, which was totally irrelevant to my actual job.)

This sounds like a really cool internship - and I definitely want to hear more about the secret rooms, even if you can't do a backstage tour. :)
