Isn't 3b the Friend Zone? It's not like the man suddenly stops finding the woman attractive or anything.

See I don't see much difference between 3B and a variant of 1 where either party is good-looking. For example, I am married, so I have no interest in my lady friends. But I have several who are nice-looking, and while I can acknowledge that, I also don't get upset about not being able to date them or anything. I think they're pretty much the same thing, ultimately!
