So I grinned like an idiot through pretty much the entire story. Sam and Dean's relationship is one of the best parts of Bloody Mary (and is sometimes overlooked due to that whole JESSICA thing) but this expanded on it and I loved it!
The end section is my favorite...it's just so them <3
I'm so glad you liked it! I love the episode to death and their relationship in it ("Why did you let me fall asleep?" "Because I'm an awesome brother") is one of my favourite parts. It was *such* a trial having to watch it over and over again to get inspired for this :)
Thank you! And now I have to confess...what exactly is the reference to Stephen King? Its unintended as I don't read his work and its going to kill me if I don't know what I unintentionally did! I'm glad it worked however unintended it was!
The SK reference is when Dean wonders about naming a dog "Cujo". Cujo is a novel by Stephen King : Cujo is the name of a dog, and you can never be sure if it's just ill or possessed by a demon (because, in the story, it attacks a mother and her young son). I thought it worked well with the Supernatural show.
Ah, Dean and Casa Erotica - that never gets old. Especially turning it on for a blind Sam. :)
Loved the fact that Sam asked Dean why his eyes bled, but that you stayed within canon by having Dean keep it a secret. Like Sam, we're all waiting for the answer to that little mystery.
Thanks so much. The banter is the best part of writing Sam and Dean for me. They play off each other so well. And I originally intended to play out the whole 'what is Dean's secret' but my wife talked me off the cliff (rightly so) and I think it worked out so much better this way.
