Curufin has been busy - more likely, making himself busy - with building his father's forge, or helping to build it. Throwing himself into the physical work has cleared his head, as much as spending more time with his father has, and even if he still hasn't apologized to Maedhros - still hasn't seen him, in point of fact - nonetheless he feels

Here's a father, then - and he's... well. Busy. Focused. Rather concerned about the Mansion's safety.

When he sees his son the way he is, however...

He just pauses in the doorway, and looks at him. He's almost smiling.

Curufin comes back down fairly quickly, though, of course, finishing his glass of water and then noticing his father. He bows, respectfully.

"Ata - I didn't see you there."

"I didn't make myself known," he replies without apologizing. "You've made yourself scarce, son."

It's not a reproach.

Curufin draws himself up, proudly, not quite smiling but almost. He looks - younger, this way, having just finished a project he's proud of.

"I've been working," he says, "On the forge. I'd like you to see it."
