OK, so finally, I have to get a new phone. AT&T has succeeded in pushing me out of my plan, so far. Some of you know I have this old Nokia TDMA phone I have been reluctant to part with. Not because I love the damn thing. I love my plan. Currently, I am paying $39.99 for 1000 anytime minutes with rollover. Way good ( Read more... )

It may not be that they want you off the el cheapo plan. I thought I'd heard AT&T was phasing out the old TDMA network.

They are phasing it out. I have known it. The fact that they "broke" the other phone on the plan last year and "fixed" it, just irritates me. At that time, blamed the phone and tried to sell another plan. It was fixed and no longer a problem. They said they reset the ESN and converted it to a GSM phone. My question was how they could do it to that one and not this one. This model is not even GSM compatible, only TDMA and they are dumping that technology 2/08. They just had the "I don't care" attitude and it just bugged me ( ... )
