me: I'm been trying for the last hour to psych myself up to take a shower.
me: It might turn into a bath if my cold decides that being vertical is too much trouble.Andy: I gave up and am dirty today

i'm just recovering from my Wire addiction. we finished season 5 last weekend, and will probably begin season 1 over again soon. i guess i am not all that recovered after all.

Or rather, to this blog.

We were gifted with S2 and S3 DVD box sets this past holiday (my husband refuses to have anything to do with S4 and S5, although he might be relenting a bit on the former), so we basically spent a whole weekend watching S1-S3 back to back (it's The Wire equivalent of the Lord of the Rings marathon that The Alamo does).

That was followed by BSG 4.0 every night of the week 4.5 premiered. Don't think I'm going to watch anything else on DVD for a while (I have "TV on DVD" fatigue =P).

If you got the shower, hurrah; if it turned into a nice, long, hot, relaxing bath, hurrah! You have a cold - that sucks most unfortunately, and I hope it decamps, post haste. I was a sad dick myself today. I should have sent an important notarized authorization somewhere, to finish dealings with a departed relative. I couldn't bring myself to do it this afternoon. Tomorrow it is, then. I ate ice cream instead.

S3 kicks ass, and then S4 comes in and kicks ass even harder. It's kind of amazing to behold. (I haven't started S5 yet.)
