So you are James Bond and you have just saved the world again at the end of Thunderball. You are lying on a life raft with the gorgeous woman you have just saved from a cruel fate. Apparently it's called the Fulton Skyhook. There's a winch to get them into the plane. They should use this to replace airports... ;-)

I like the thought of the first planning meeting where the guy first put forward his idea.

:D I reckon a VTOL plane landing very slowly could just put them on the ground - albeit somewhat ruffled... Or a splashdown in the water might be okay.
