While I'm not yet ready to drive post-surgery, I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to trade me my stick shift (honda civic) for an automatic for a couple of weeks, preferably starting on this Sunday? It would be easier on me to drive while I recover, and if my girlfriend comes back to help take care of us again, she can drive it too (she can' ( Read more... )

I would do it in a heart beat...but I too have a stick (Honda Civic). Poop.

Dave is not fond of stick shifts and I have pitifully little experience (and that from over a decade ago)... BUT we have swapped cars with injured friends before. So if you don't find a more enthusiastic trader, we can figure out a swap time. Our weekend is very hectic but we can probably work something out.

We offer up an ugly ol' Geo Metro (pertinent for parents: only two seat belts in the back).

I, too, have a Honda Civic and mine is automatic. I would be happy to trade! There's one thing, my baby and I are planning on going to see his parents in Fort Worth not this weekend but next. Call me! scheven nien nien ate tree sax for.

Yay!! Thanks so much!! My car is nasty from having had a four year old in it, and it's old ('93) but it's dependable.

I will get it cleaned out for you (or if you're willing to take it to get it cleaned, I will totally fork out the $ for it).

If you're in a pinch, I have a cop car - easy to get in and out of. Firm seat. Big. Lots of gas. People get out of the way.

I'm supposed to be selling it, so if you can keep it fairly clean inside, I'd appreesheate it. Lemme know.

My car's a bit messy, and I couldn't trade off until Monday, but it's available if you need. Let me know a bit ahead of time, and I'll vacuum it out.
