I enjoyed Etown. It wasn't the best movie ever, but it was fun.
That said, I still firmly believe the reason he fell for Clare was due to Stockholm Syndrome, brought on by stress and exhaustion. She was very freaky stalkerish and I would have had to kill her.

I totally agree about Drew's Stockholm Syndrome. About the time she sat down next to me on the airplane I would have been tuning her out and giving her the cold shoulder. It can only be because of his mental state at the time that he succumbed to her...charms(?). Eh...whatever.
It wasn't even that I didn't like Claire's character, but not as a romantic pairing. It would have worked better if she had bounced in, helped him out, and bounced out again. She's the "friend" type, not the "romance" type. Which was said over and over again.
Susan Sarandon's eulogy was awesome. I want someone to tapdance at my funeral. :o)
