My whole life has become so much more worrisome since I've become engaged. Somehow I'm scared one or both of us won't manage to make it to the wedding. It's as if the more wonderful and full of promise life is, the more desperate I become to protect it -- to guard off any and all sources of potential doom. So far my efforts have concentrated on

Man..I've lost touch like mad with the old home crew apparently! I didn't even know you were engaged. Congratulations! And, if it makes you feel better, all my other friends who have been getting engaged have the same thoughts. It's just a big step is all. If you weren't a little freaked out, that would mean it didn't mean that much to you. *hugs*
