one thing i never will quite understand...

the whole "misery loves company" saying... nowadays it insists on it. and it's not the misery insisting on it, the company wants to be more miserable so they can "1-up" whoever was miserable to begin with ( Read more... )

I won't ask "Was that directed towards me?" .... though everything I have posted is true.

However, I have felt the way you do at times. :-(

the post wasn't directed toward anyone-as the subject headline itself states.

i won't call you a liar, but the way you're acting is VERY questionable seeing as you said you could control the diabetes with proper diet and such.

and here recently you come over to eat and pile a mountain on your plate and also recently you decided to go on an all liquid diet at one point. those are 2 of the most horrible things you can do with diabetes. you're supposed to have 6 small meals a day. if you miss one don't try to make-up for it by eating a lot at 1 time later.

but as i said, i won't say you're a liar, you may simply not know about that stuff yet. though if your doctor or whoever told you that you had diabetes he would have helped explain the way to keep healthy at least a little bit.

Yes, I am still learning.

Not every diabetic diet is the same. I have the sheets my doctor sent to me about mine. As for the liquid diet, that was a temporary fast because my blood sugar was so high. After I talked with Cynthia and BJ, they made me realize that it was not the smartest or the safest thing to do, so I am trying to do what I am supposed to.

ah, i didn't think you would be the type of person to do something to that extreme, but at least you can understand where i was coming from in my reply to your comment. and don't think i'm saying you're the only person who may or may not do it, there are several people around here i've noticed doing this lately.

not every diabetic diet is exactly the same but they're not very different at all. the only time they should do a liquid diet is before some type of surgery. (and even then it's not really recommended.)

the only reason i know as much as i do about it is because my friend stephen is showing early signs and his entire family with exception of himself is diabetic so i usually find out something new about it nearly every time i go see him.
