Iana loves her family, she does, but there's so many of them. Honestly, she understands Auggie's impossible to take a book and hide in a corner. Her version of that is that she's snuck outside to 'check on Cromwell', which mostly involves drinking a glass of wine in the evening sunshine.

Ah, and Dae thought he was being so clever coming out for a few minutes away from overlapping conversation. And now he can't go back inside without being weird, but he doesn't want to interrupt, so he just stands at the entrance and waves.

Luc, coming from an unexpected crisis at the hospital, is perhaps the last to arrive. He manages to order a beer through virtue of pointing at the drinks menu and nodding when the waitress gets it.

Lottie is where she should be though, plastered to his side and at this point willing to growl at anyone who tries to bother him. Oh dear. She really threw him in the deep end on this one and she feels kinda bad. Her voice drops like she's telling him state secrets, "Wanna go outside? There's a dog."

"Nah, babe, it's my family so we can ditch them if I say so," so she takes his arm and starts making their exit, "His name's Cromwell, he's the twins'. Pops got him the same year he got Woof and them, so they're like, basically also cousins."
