i just finished my final history of italian cinema class. she decided to skip out on our final exam and just give us a two page paper to write and turn in before the real last class next tuesday (which i will be missing due to travels). since the class will be no longer having an exam on that day, she has decided to let the class choose a movie she ( Read more... )

I think you should go for the intern gig full on. The door seems open. There may be gold in them thar hills. Gold as in fun and experience, maybe nothing more. But regardless of where you are really heading, this seems like an opportunity to experience an aspect of the art and craft of film making that not many get. I would pursue it. You can always back out if better opportunities come up. That's my $.02. If you want more I'll have to check the other sofa.

I think you should pursue it now. Like there is no tomorrow. Why not? Make contact w/ Luis, give him the impression that this is a fulfillment of your life long dream, blah blah blah.. Get him hooked on you. Then see where it goes. Does this make sense? If you postpone the contact you most likely will be forgotten, no?
