Well! I had to work today, but I started the story in the morning (I'm working afternoon/evening) and just finished it now while on my dinner break. Um, possibly my extra-long dinner break. *g* It was fun to see the lads in a completely different location, and how they might negotiate the strangeness, while still being able to immediately slip into operational mode, especially with each other. And I do love first time stories, and how being in a different place can shift things enough for them to finally see. (Poor Doyle, though, blurting out the truth! *g*) The original characters were interesting as well--and the locations beautifully described. Thank you for a nice distraction on a Sunday when I would really have preferred not to be at work. *g*

Glad to be a distraction!! I do enjoy putting characters into situations where their reactions might be just slightly different. I love AUs for the same reason.

I've been offline for the last three weeks so I'm way behind on reading the stories. I've just downloaded everything to date and will start reading - and of course, unlike the rest of you, I have all that pleasure to come!

It's great to see your story here and thank you for allowing me to be part of it:)

I love the story and the way you've portrayed the lads and shown us how they would react to being out of their usual element and the way you make us, the readers, see a different country/culture through their eyes. The scenes are very real and believable and the werewolves fascinating and different.

As usual your characterisations are spot on with even the most minor characters fully drawn and a distinct part of the story - like Thomas, who brings the boys car back for them. He's only in the story for a few paragraphs but you know exactly what he looks like and how shy he is of the 'foreign experts'.

And the artwork is fabulous! I love the icons!

The art's fantastic, isn't it? I think we were both very lucky with our artists, not only in the quality of their work but in the number of pieces they produced!

As you know, I love travel and the different viewpoints it opens up, so I wanted to do the same for the lads. Next stop. Portugal?!

And I can't keep thanking you enough for the beta work, which is brilliant and keeps me writing because when I'm not happy with something I know you'll help me sort it out!!

Hee! Well you know I've already read this a while back when you sent the files for me, but yesterday when I was fixing the italics I got distracted by reading bits and pieces again (especially where Doyle is jealous and when they finally get together). Very entertaining story. I liked how the supernatural elements were very matter-of-fact, and the detail with all the original characters. And hurrah for Heike, a strong female character who wasn't a love interest (something fandom does better than canons of most shows, even the more modern ones than Pros).

I'm so glad you enjoyed it and weren't put off by all the work it entailed for you! That snippet where Doyle admits jealousy had been in my head for ages but was vaguely destined for a ficlet. Instead, it fitted nicely here. I got quite fond of Heike and think she might well get an original fic all of her own one of these days! After all, she already has her husband, her kids, her car and her colleagues and she lives in a lovely part of Germany.I'm sure I could find her a magical adventure!
