I'm trying to do this, while talking to my grieving friend. I can do this.I'll need your guys' help though, I honestly don't have the mental strength to do this along right now, but I want to do it so badly. I want to continue what I started back then with the petition

You know, when Facebook pulled its recent bullshit, there was an article in my local newspaper about it and it was all over the news. We need a proper boycott of LJ, a boycott of The Science of Sleep, and - call me crazy - maybe even a picket line. If a bunch of people in front of a movie theater declare that they're boycotting The Science of Sleep because of LJ's recent decision, it'll be newsworthy.

Six Apart may not listen to their customers, but they'll listen to the media.

I just need to know how to start it. We need a basic idea that has potential and can be carried out by other people without them having much prior knowledge.

One of the forums I post on has a section set aside specifically for gripes like this, and many of the members there have LJs. I could use a thread and links in my signature to advertise for the LJ Revolt and the Science of Sleep boycott. Also, the 5th of November day of silence suggested by...insomnia, I think, is an awesome idea and I plan to participate. A new, slightly edited and revamped LJ Petition that could be signed and circulated would be an excellent idea.

But I really don't have any better ideas. >__> I've never really lead a protest before, or anything, and my organizational skills are less than impeccable. I fear I may not be much more than a reporter at this stage in the game. But if you need me to spread the word--any word--you can count on it that it will be done.
