Cook woke to the feeling of Michael shaking his shoulder gently. Cracking one eyelid open briefly, he saw that the sky was just lightening. Groaning in displeasure at the early hour, Cook tried to bury himself under his blankets.

And I kind of am in love with your Michael, too - the conversation Cook and Johns had at the beginning was important (but kind of hilarious!) and very much IC. "Either that kid is possessed or crazy, or maybe I'm crazy" - indeed, Michael darling ;)
I hope you enjoyed writing this half as much as I enjoyed reading, bb. This part seemed easy, effortless.

Oh it was fun to write too, that's for sure! I LOVE writing Cook and Johns SO MUCH! In fact, I just had the distinct pleasure of watching BF read the chapter and he was laughing out loud... ok snickering, with little mutters, repeating some of the funny bits.
That's after he pointed out that yes, baby could be over-used and inspired me to go back and mix it up a bit! He gives great feedback ;~P
I am kind of loving Michael myself, foul-mouthed, warmhearted Aussie that he is!
