Ophelia... My Favourite Music Video Of All Time...

Jun 21, 2009 22:37

Dearest Far-Away Friends,

I'm not feeling too good right now, and I doubt this video is helping but it's so beautiful, I though I'd share.

I have no idea if anyone would find this interesting, but I think this is probably the greatest music video (or short art film) ever made. Of course it doesn't hurt that it's just about my favourite song of all ( Read more... )

craziness, music video, ophelia

Sorry you're feeling sad, my dear.

I am kind of sad, as well, today. I've referenced the saddest story of my life (and, gosh, in the grand scheme of things, it is a small, kind of tawdry, little sadness), and while I am so beyond grateful of where I am now, this small grief is still there, somewhere, lodged deep in my heart.

Man... transatlantic sadness strikes. When you say referenced, do you mean betaed?

And sweetie, no feelings are tawdry. They just are, that's all.

I keep reminding myself it's like a wave. No sense fighting it, just don't feed it, and remember that feeling come, peak, and flow away.

Just sometimes to takes a God-damned long time:-(

I am sending you love, and I hope you feel better soon darling.

<3,
Renata

PS. Do you like the video? Do you know the song? It's amazing isn't it?

no, I mean, posted in an interview question (latest post). *sigh*.

When I think about the sadness in your past, and the past of others, I know how relatively minor mine is - it is truly the *one* regret of my life, the *one* thing I would do over, if I could.

Of course I know Natalie, from her maniacs days. I do not know this song, though, and it is awesome (though it has made me kind of sadder).

Dearest Night, aka Ophelia,

Oh yeah, I am sure it'll pass soon, and if not, then eventually at least.

Thank you dearest.

I hope it wasn't a bad or sad or mad thing that led to the change of name... but I must tell you, you certainly picked a very beautiful and evocative new name.

I'm glad you liked the song and the film, I find it so beautiful.

I love it even though it looks like she did have the common confusion between schitzophrenia and dissociative identity disorder (used to be multiple personality disorder).

I totally blame the silly person who thought the name schitzophrenia (split mind) up. No wonder it's confusing!

Thank you for the kind wish darling. It actually does help a bit.

Love,
Renata

I'm so sorry you're feeling down, love. Anything I can do?

I can't watch the video right now, since I'm at the office, but I will during my lunch break.

It's something in the water, because I'm sad too. Because of your interview, actually, which I have answered, though it is in no way shape or form your fault, and I don't want you to feel badly about it! Maybe I should work out my issues via fic.

Anyway: Renata wants us to work out our sadnesses via international spy-dom. Are you up for it? ;)

I always work out my issues with fic. Just sayin'

And if you explain what is 'spy-dom', I'm pretty sure I'll be up for it.

Am not sure what she means, either, but it'll be fun trying to work out?

She's an awesome Girl-Sleuth, I'm an International Woman of Mystery, we run around solving crime, something like that. Join us! ;)

Just a quick message to say I want to give you a big hug and I'm not a hugger by nature. You have been through so much and now you have another challenge. I've been thru the "I'm a bad parent thing" too but we can only be ourselves and we do the best we can. All you can really do is love him. 15 is such a fking difficult age for boys. They are between child and man and the signals often get so confused. I am angry for you (is that allowed) that you are uncomfortable in your sactuary. But its really wonderful how these friends here can bring the laughs.

Dearest A.,

No kidding, This place is *crawling* with wonderful women, one of which is YOU darling!

Thank you for the hugs and understanding. I know that this too shall pass. I suppose I'll count it a success if I can get all of them to 18 alive and not in jail:-)

Parenting a 15 yr old boy is DAMNED hard work though, you are very very right!

Lovelovelove,
The Fabulous Girl-Sleuth, R.
