 My darling, and very mature 12 year old, bbben and I have been marathon-watching dances from this year's 'So You Think You Can Dance'.

Personally, I am impressed that he focuses on the dance instead of giggling when the dancers do something 'gross'. Like kissing.

Anyway, this is his top 3. He asked me to post it on my page.

GORGEOUS, BB. I don't watch SYTYCD regularly, primarily because I don't think the latest seasons air here, but I always really enjoy it when I do watch.

I think sometimes the lack of TV is a bonus. By the time we get obsessed over something, the highlights are all up on youtube;)

Ren Lovely Thank you so much for this. I have always watched this show but we have not had the feed this year. I now see what I've been missing. As J says your boy has fantastic taste. Tell him that from from me.
The 1st for me was the most outstanding because it sold the story and emotion so well. And cause yeah it was a complete turn on. Sooo sexy.
Number 2 was funny and clever and I hope those 2 went far.
Number 3 was also top notch. I got the fierce matador vib really well and that comtemporary music for the pasa double was incredible.

Haaa Strictly is one of my fav films. I love all dance related movies but boy does it look dated now. Having watched every season of Strictly (UK) and Dancing with (US) you can now see how flawed this one is. It doesn't take away from the fun but now I can't but see the errors.
Who says TV isn't educational!!!

Also on a quick note Ren. Thank you for posting these. After reading J's chapter I needed some happy light relief and you provided this. Anne.

I am actually glad we didn't watch the show. This way, we got to see all the good bits on only one week of obsessive youtubing!

All of these dancers did go far.The top 3 in order were;

3rd - Evan
2nd Brandon
1st Jenine

Jenine's the first woman to win, and I love her because she's curvy and has short legs and she is so charismatic in her dancing.

Brandon was incredible too - AMAZING dancer. His solo especially is WELL worth looking up.

Oh, and 'Strictly Ballroom'? Perfect Australian quirkiness never dates. It just ages like fine wine... or original Star Trek episodes;)

I swear I was in love with him all season. Still think he should have won. *sniffs haughtily*

bbben abnd I were torn, but in the end decided that no matter if Brandon or Jenine won, it would be well deserved. Sort of like David and David... both of them are going to do spectacularily well and are AMAZING.

(Brandon's solo SLAYS me. Just sayin'.)
