Hi all... I missed you!

 Hello everyone,

This is just a quick note to let you know that I'm not dead nor have I fallen off of the edge of the Earth. I've just been sick. I came down with H1N1 almost 3 weeks ago and got really quite seriously ill. I'm recovering, but it's going very slowly. And I am very very tired.

I'm home now, but I developed secondary vocal cord ( Read more... )

ILU2!

I am feeling better day by day, so I think your good energy is being felt. Thank you!

(Also, can I just say again how much I love your incredible story? I had to say it again.)

I am sending you good wishes and fresh cool air from the first snowfall of the year in Manitoba.

Hello you lovely person you. Happy, happy, happy dance to hear from you. I have been thinking of you and hoping life was not getting you down so I'm so sorry to hear you have been ill. Flu can totally sap your energy for ages. On the up side - who would have thought you would ever have something in common with Archie (vocal paralysis) heh!
Please keep in touch- we can't let the good ones get away!
Oh and lovely colours on your journal, very hot and spicy. A

Oooo. I like your icon! That is a lovely arm and shoulder 0_0

This is not exactly the thing I wanted to have in common with Archie, but I must admit, I have been thinking of him and his incredible grace under pressure as I try to navigate my life mutely.

Just not being able to be heard on the phone is so incredibly inconvenient...

Glad you like the new colours. They seem like good spicy autumn colours... just right for Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. I haven't the energy to redo house stuff, so I am sublimating my decorating urges onto LJ;)

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving darling!

Mama E! So glad to see you posting again, and hoping that you mend quickly... I've been on the fence about getting the flu shot (I usually skip stuff like that... I'm pretty anti-shot in general) but your post is making me rethink that!

Look forward to eljay-ing with you soon... also have you read Jehane's Future Fic series (the looooooong one... she just finished it), it's awesome!

Hugs,
Amy

Hello fellow-Mama!

I missed you! And yes, I read Jay's fabulous, incredible, heart-rending, and lyrical story last night... from start to finish. My first story in 3 weeks, and TOTALLY worth the wait. She is completely amazing, isn't she?

I know what you mean about flu-shots. Normally I don't bother, but this year I was planning on getting it done. Naturally, I got sick just before they started vaccinating. Sigh.

I really would suggest doing it this year though. I don't think you'd want to be down for the count for 2-4 weeks, especially with littles in the house.

I hope you are enjoying a nice autumn down south. Are the leaves turning around you? We are just having our first snow-fall right now, and it's damn depressing. The fleeting prettiness is just a cruel cruel jest.

Oh, gosh. I'm glad your son's being of some help, it's sweet of him. Rest and drink lots of water and just...rest! Get well soon! D:

Thank you dearest!

I am following your very good advice, and it actually does work. All mothers are correct!!! And yes, my eldest is a godsend, that's for sure;)

Be well and stay healthy!
