I am reading a book called "how she does it" about women entrepreneurs. A bit "rah rah" but the book is very good at describing how successful women businesses are (twice as likely to still be in business than male owned businesses, and minority female owned businesses are four times as likely...) and how because they don't fit stereotypical models ( Read more... )

No, seriously, this is what MPs do all day? This is how (some of them) are being advised? Can someone smarter than me explain this?

(Miraculously, the one thing that they are getting right--that our culture is way, way too hard on men of colour--they somehow manage to get right for the wrong reasons. Magic.)

I know that I should be more mature, but *eyeroll*This is somewhat off-topic, but I'm just going to say it: it's really starting to bother when I see issues like this discussed in terms of privilege, because it's becoming one of those terms that is being completely drained of its actual meaning.
