So do you think its ok for me to feel some sort of love toward S without wanting to live with or be married to him? Cause that's how i've been feeling lately more than ever.

Last week he and i were in the kitchen (the are where we used to give and rec' casual signs of our affection toward eachother) and i had this overwhelming need to be hugged ( Read more... )

Yep, seems like that to me, too! :) But i'm definitely am going in the right direction for the first time in my life!! YAY!!

You asked if "that's okay"... my question is "why wouldn't it be?"

I think that it's amazing that you recognize this early on at this stage of your marriage/relationship - I mean, you will NEVER be completely "free" of one another - you are tied together for the rest of your lives.
I think that it is infinetly better for C that her parents at least be able to be "friends" - think of her graduation, her wedding - the birth of her children - all of those occasions are special and should be able to be shared with the two of you. But too many parents divorce and allow their personal shit to get in the way of their realtionship with the child. She shouldnt ever have to choose between you - not as long as you are both working for what is best for "C". I think that it is wonderful that you are able to still feel affection for him - not that it's totally amazing, but more that its a more "mature" way to look at things.

As ever - a novel of random thoughts :) It's been a while :)
