After a couple of nice rains here lately, I found more of the Frangipani flowers and even a cluster of the ground orchid flowers had fallen today so I dropped them all in one of the birdbaths and took a few pictures.

As I rounded the corner I spotted ahead of me these Hibiscus flowers. I thought they seemed to be motioning and saying "Come hither," in a very seductive way.

Another beautiful morning at Robinson Preserve. A light breeze helped keep the bugs away and temps were in the upper 70s with lower humidity. Probably won't have too many more days like this before summer hits us full force. Everytime I pass this fence I stop and enjoy the view, always thinking I should take a picture. Well, today I did! I went out early this morning just after sunrise.  I got a nice walk in at Robinson Preserve and still had some time before I had to be home.   I stopped by Palma Sola Botanical Park and was there for about 10 minutes by the first pond and suddenly the loud piercing call of a Great Blue Heron cut through the quietness.  He flew overhead, circling ( Read more... )

Here I am practically on the ground again and shooting into the sun. I just can't resist….. I love these orange and yellow daisy-like flowers, I think they are Coreopsis. There are thousands of them swaying in the breeze everywhere you look at Robinson Preserve.

I like standing on bridges and looking at the shells that are below me. They have probably been there for many years and have many more years to go. I've always called them "Old Bones."

We only got about a quarter of an inch of rain this afternoon in the Garden of Decadent Decay, and so we celebrate as all eyes are on the fallen  Desert Rose floating in the Oasis.  The water is actually just a shallow puddle and the bubbles mostly appeared to me as eyes.   I like the soft glow from the cloudy overcast sky.  No sun shined through ( Read more... )

Early one morning as my sister and I were almost done with our walk at Robinson Preserve we could hear the various and continuous songs of a Mockingbird filling the air with beautiful sounds.
