I want to work on my Gaelic, but I'm getting so frusterated with the pronunciation. I know I could work on the next unit and figure out all the grammar stuff and how to put sentences together but it seems so silly to do that when I don't know if I'm pronouncing everything in the first unit correctly. I've got the CD's that came with it, and it goes through some of it, but it's entirely different to listen to someone who is fluent in the language speak and pronounce things, than it is to acutally make my tongue make the same sounds. I know what it's supposed to sound like, but when reading through the different dialouges outloud, it sounds nothing like it should. I think if I was learning the language from someone just telling me how things are said, rather than having a book and trying to read how it's supposed to be said, I'd be much better at this. *sigh* That's what I get for choosing to learn a language that no one around here speaks or teaches.

Has anyone else dealt with this frusteration, and if so, how did you overcome it?
