Don't think my niece is enjoying it that much either - 'horrible' features in her assessment. Did it put you off reading any other William Golding?

Be interested to know what is the book you love most in the world. (If you have one?)

I've been on a real YA fiction kick lately - just finished Meg Rosoff's 'The Bride's Farewell'. Very satifying, I like the way she doesn't have happy or unhappy endings to most of her story lines.
