A very intriguing start; not having caught this on the meme, I'm curious to see where it's going and looking forward to reading some more. I like the descriptions of Nick's stuffiness and sometimes sanctimonious confidence - yes, he is the type to stand on a balcony and give a speech while people pelt him with rubbish. It's pretty much what he's been doing since November if not earlier!

I'll admit I'm a little confused as to why anyone would want to cut a jaffa cake, as they're technically a type of biscuit, but I suppose things change rapidly in a post-Apocalyptic world. :)

This story began in mid June when everything was rosy and happy. I didn't realise reality was going to become terrible for him.

I'm rewriting bits of it; the way it's posted on the current meme is actually vaguely confusing I think except possibly as reference to Real Time News, so I'm encouraging you not to catch up on the meme :)

Wiki said for a court case, the company made a giant jaffa-cake in order to claim it as a cake and not a biscuit thus subject to VAT, so this is what I went with here. The story's meant to be rather silly anyways....;)
