Some colleagues and I at work have decided to enter essays into WITF's "This I Believe" writing contest. If I win I get to be on the radio! Plus, you know, an all-expenses-paid trip to Harrisburg to record in the WITF studio, and, I'mm assuming, fabulous perks like access to the danish and coffee table in the hallway

WITF? Why are you stoping there?? You could get onto the national circut...you know the how good the bag of pot is they give Scott Simon??? And the shit they give Terry Gross...I cant even talk about it here.

Really though...I dont think you need to worry about what your colegues are writing about - I have heard all kinds of stories on that program. But you could write about being an alternate bear...just a thought...

From the WITF website: "...essays from Central Pennsylvanians who wish to share the core values and beliefs that guide their daily lives. Essays may focus on an event or moment that has brought those values into focus or principles that have guided the essayist throughout his/her life."
