What did you end up doing with the old car?

I used it as my trade in. They wanted to give me 500 less than car max had offered to purchase it for, so i put my foot down and demanded that amount. Basically told them, look, we both know you aren't going to re-sell this car - it has too many miles. The minimum i'll take is $1500 - and if you part this car out - the engine alone is worth 4 times that much. (the eclipse turbo engine is the most sought after street racing motor). I wanted to sell it to a private person, but when the wiring problems kept up, i realized its just not safe, and would feel terrible. i was scared to drive the damn thing.

Well at least you got the equivalent. I've got Kaar up on CL again for $3,000 now, but he's in excellent running condition. If I get down to $2,000 and no one takes him then I'll try Carmax and a dealer, to see which one would give me more.
