Links to Cool Webcomics!

OK, so with one chum in lockdown, I thought I'd put together some webcomic links. For you, and anyone else who might end up in a lockdown.

Why webcomics? Why not books? Books are great, but comics are often underrated. Personally, I rarely have time any more to read proper books. I mean, I read, all my sodding time is taken up reading sodding ( Read more... )

I might check some of these out. I used to read webcomics religiously, but a lot of them were discontinued (That makes me feel old!) Now, I tend to read a page or two of random novels on the train. It takes forever to read a book.

This is the thing, when you are a busy person, finding time for a novel gets tricky. A webcomic can give you a quicker story fix!

I love webcomics, I've read them for years. The ones I'm reading at the moment have lots of smaller arcs than a big overall story (PvP, Girls with Slingshots, Ctrl+Alt+Del). There's also Bad Machinery which I need to get around to reading at some point. I shall definitely have to check out your recommendations.

(Oh, and I've added Oglaf to my list. How could I forget Oglaf!)

You're welcome! They've all got decent sized archives so that should keep you going. Girls with Slingshots is currently on repeat - it finished in 2015 but the author has gone back to the beginning and coloured the strips and has re-released them, so the coloured ones start from here.

Kill Six Billion Demons is beautiful, well scripted and awesomely imaginative: https://killsixbilliondemons.com/

Gunnerkrigg Court is an interesting take on magic an technology side by side and has a lovely antagonist in Coyote (not quite that Coyote, but close): https://www.gunnerkrigg.com/

Both enough of an archive to survive even the most dedicated binge reader. GC goes through quite an artistic journey, so the early stuff and the recent are hugely different, but the characters survive the transition well..
