And just to reiterate, mostly for non-English readers.

56.4% of voters (who actually voted) voted against the Tories. The remaining 43.6% voted for the Tories.

Obviously, this equals a massive Tory majority... even though the majority of voters did not vote for them.(Remain supporting parties got over 50% ( Read more... )

Said it before and saying it again: The British voting system needs an upgrade. So does the law system. It's as old as the wigs they are still wearing. *sigh*

Now that it's sure to happen I am watching January with an eye on the island. I fear we'll see everything the guy in the video is saying. Also, I never really realized it but he'S right in one more point: It was bound to happen because people want what they can't have. And someone told them they can't have Brexit. Wow. What a psychological trick. And they fell for it. *bigger sigh*

They won't "own" what they voted for, not the people, nor the government. It will always be someone else's fault, and thus hate crimes will increase further.

Did you hear, though, that the CDU proposed to change to just such a voting system - winner gets it all - in order to reduce the number of representatives in the Bundestag???

They did? Yeah, they'd love that. Now that the SPD has gone down to 15% they would profit from that most.

I admit it was easier to vote when we only had 3 factions, 4 at most. Now that Die Linke and AfD have joined CDU, SPD, and Grüne, coalitions must be a nightmare.

I'd rather raise the threshold to 10% or more, and thereby reduce the smaller ones that have nothing to do but put the break on the ruling forces. The Brish system?! I hope not!!!

I really really hope it won't come to all that ...
But I'm not holding my breath. :-(
