Red.

The story is, I gave volta a ride to his Buell this weekend, which was in the shop for a new belt. He met me at my place, and left his Duc there.

She's extremely red. I had a bit of a hard time getting used to the way she shifted (were it my bike I'd be adjusting the shifter before I rode her home). AND I was followed along half my commute by two different cops (one I picked up less than a mile from my driveway, who followed me to the Ayer rotary (and who I passed at 45 in a 30, and was POSITIVE he was going to pull me over), another I picked up in downtown Ayer). She was totally grumpy about going so slow.

"Forty in a 35, huh?" she asked me, grudgingly. "Watch me speed up to near 50 without you really noticing. Hee hee."
"DON'T YOU SEE THE COP BEHIND US?"
"We could lose him."

She is ... seductive. Hates doing anything under 40. LOVES to spin up in 3rd gear (and probably 4th, and 5th... but my commute is all back roads). Gallops and has kind of a digital throttle when she's going too slow, or revving too low. Whispers terrible things to me. No; whispers is not right -- she tells me openly and matter-of-factly that I am not riding her correctly and that she could do easily twice whatever our current speed is without any upset whatsoever. I'm happy to ride her for a couple of days, but I won't be heartbroken to get her back to him, 'cause I like my currently-clean driving record. :-)
