Aerostich - taking another shot

Yesterday we attended All Clubs Day up in Stockbridge and got caught in a colossal downpour on the way home. As the cold water trickled down my crotch I was reminded of my old Aerostich. Which worked great in so many ways, and I always blamed the 'stich crotch problems on the terrible fit of the suit that I bought back in the days when they only ( Read more... )

My two first-gen suits are still soldering on and probably will last another 10 years or more at this rate, although I'l need replacement armor soon on both of them.

IMHO, The addition of women's sizes is a real mercy. For a company that is selling a $1k+ specialty suit, just aiming for the "middle-section" of sizes rather than offering a more full fitment for the general riding population was always a bit absurd to me. I think it was just starting to get difficult to maintain their claim to the high-end riding market with low-end dollar-store sizing metrics.

I've yet to see one of the new G3 suits in the wild or hear much about them. I'm interested in how it works for you, and how well the women's sizing actually lays out in the real world.

The women's size 12 I got two years ago, apart from not being a tall size, was pretty darn good. I have very high hopes for this 12 Long.

I am very interested in your experiences! Last I contacted Aerostich, a suit to fit me would be in the range of $1400. And at that rate, I'll just deal with separate pants & jacket, thanks.

Some people prefer separate pants and jackets anyway. But more than anything about my old Roadcrafter, I miss the ease of getting in and out of the one piece. ATGATT, with that suit, requires so little trouble it become automatic and easy to just maintain, effortlessly. I'd love to have that back, if I can get it without the hampering fit and the 'stich crotch.
