Mmmm yummy food including Cheese at the Market

I am awake after stuffing myself with too much dinner including cheese at The Market in Parkway last night. The restaurant has a changing menu based on what's in season and every time we've tried to pop in and get a table on spec it's been fully booked. Last night we finally called ahead and got in. It's not cheap but definitely good. I had Potted Shrimp, followed by onglet and chips with aoli and then cheese -yum! I hadn't tried onglet before which is a cut of beef, called hanger steak to Americans. Turns out this is so popular with the regulars that they keep it on the menu so I possibly should have tried something else. No regrets here though. It was very full of flavour, not as tender as some steaks. They had Tunworth, Cropwell Bishop and a cheddar called quick's - anyone know this one as it was good? The only thing I didn't like about the meal was the cumin in the home-made oat cakes, especially as I took a bite as I haven't learned I need to be suspicious of indian spices in deserts like cheese and biscuits. I can see why the critics like this place and wish we could afford to become regulars.

In other news, Abu Dhabi still looks like it will start at some point but they are dotting t's or crossing i's or something and it's taking ages. So far Chris has been out for one brief trip last weekend and I haven't yet. My London job hunting is going slowly, in fact it feels rather like it's going backwards.

I decided to head back to weight watchers but week 1 I have put on weight. And that was without the yumminess last night. So if I just didn't like food as much it would help my jeans fit better. But if it's a choice between slimness and cheese I think we all know which I'd choose.
