Actually now I finally pegged what keeps getting on my nerves about the show: that they keep jumping between the present and the flashbacks. THAT is what they had been doing all the time, but earlier the past and present stories were equally intense and interesting. Now, like in the last ep, they combine the quest of Kate &Co (which I think is what really keeps us watching) with the not-so-relevant sad story of Clair that mainly resulted in her hair turning from black to blond. I don't want to sound cynical, but each time they jumped back to Clair, I went "Owhhhhhhhh. I need to have a toilet break!"
The ending, however, was a powerful cliffhanger! And now I think they will feed us more second-important stories before revealing what happens to Jack!
Also, I think the show *is* getting weirder. How will they explain the village and the rest of the island wilderness? Btw, it's a pity sawyer is not there. I'd LOVE to see his reaction!
Meep. I just love your reviews of Supernatural and your major love of X-Files *high five* (Not as a devoted fan as I should be, but I'm trying to make sure I've seen the episodes I've sorely missed all over these years), and was just wondering if you'd mind if I friended you.
(I originally found your journal by way of your drinking game. Bless it, it kept me amused boring college nights. <3 )

Ooh, Supernatural!
Ooh, excessive philosophical pursuits!
