I hope things are going well.

You know Garry Kasparov is on LiveJournal? Realio trulio, it's not a parody account; basically virtually all blogging in Russia takes place on LJ. I mention this because the second half of your last paragraph reminds me of his formation of the Professional Chess Association, as was.

You're not the only person, who has a same feeling about WPF...
But the chairman of the WPF is an American, isn't he?
Why you're not talking directly with him about these issues?

I certainly have made my views clear to both my team captain, Nick Baxter, and the WPF President, Will Shortz, and on many different occasions. This included many discussion at Kraljevica with them, before, during, and after some of the events I'm commenting on here.

What is unclear to me is what is taken from these discussions behind closed doors. The meetings of the General Assembly are set up in such a way that competitors cannot attend or speak directly. And the "minutes" given later always suggest to me more that they may talk about fixes but are very very slow to make any. It gets shoved to committee, for a report the following year, and a vote the year after that. And nothing changes.
