DC/MK Plunnie Dump

Dec 20, 2007 22:07

I'm going to have SUCH a high posting rate for today. Can't help it. Feel the need to share the fact that I have been writing but feeling like I fail at life in writing for the past few months.

So without further ado, I give you multiple plunnies!

Trick to Survival

The trick to survival wasn't as easy as it sounded.

Being that Kaito had his night job, he was often lucky to get more than 4 hours of sleep those nights. Hell, he was lucky to get any amount of sleep at any time of the day, any day of the week. He somehow managed it, though, but probably only because

Ten Years

"Do you even know who or what you are, Kuroba Kaito? Do you understand the role you were born to portray?"

"Why would someone like me give a damn about what others expect of me? It's my life. Not yours, not God's--mine. You had no right to choose this path for me--"

"I did not. Of that, you're correct, but no one had the right to change the fate of the one who is your true antagonist. And yet look at him now: Living a new life. Taking each day as it comes--"

"So what? Why do I have to do the same? Why? Give me one reason--"

"It wasn't time yet."

"And now it is? You took ten years from my life, Koizumi!"

Off Days

"I want it to be noted that there are things of greatness out there."

"No doubt."

"Things of such value and mysteries that... well, they're priceless enigmas, right?"

"Is there a point to the commentary?"

"Not really. Just kind of bored. I'm out of inspiration."

"I never knew performers had a form of writer's block."

"Oi. Even we need our off days."

Delusions

The door opened and a kind woman smiled at the new arrival. "Ah, Aoko-chan," she said in greeting. "It's so good to see you again. You're coming by less and less and I was beginning to worry."

"Sorry, obasan," the teenaged girl apologized with a smile. "I'll be sure to come by more often. How's Kaito?"

The woman sighed as she turned and gestured for Aoko to enter. "His fever's running high but should break later on tonight. You know Kai-chan. He's never sick for long."

Aoko huffed. "Idiot. Missing school for a once-in-a-blue-moon cold." She turned to the mother of said idiot, asking plaintively, "Aren't fools supposed to be immune to colds?"

Kaito's mother laughed despite herself. "Yes," she answered, leading the way through the house to the sick boy's room, "but Kai-chan's always been an exception to those sorts of things, ne, Aoko-chan?"

The two females laughed, the younger one nodding empathetically. They only quieted when they reached the door to the bedroom.

The mother rapped her knuckles agaisnt the door before opening it and stepping into the room, whispering in a sing-song voice, "Kai-chan... you have a visitor."

Coma

He didn't move, didn't talk, didn't even hardly breathe.

In some ways, he was already dead.

The doctors said there was little chance of recovery, that even if he did ever awaken

Plunnie #2 has been fleshed out even more, actually. Just need to type it all up. What a pain that is. And no, it's not a Kaito gets shrunken fic. Think time-skip except the protagonist wasn't aware of it and is still the same age he was before said time-skip. Yeah. Funness~

And yes, if any of you get inspired by these snippets, feel free to grab up and write something! I don't mind at all~ ♥

And now I'm off to uncover more of my writings lying around somewhere. *wanders off*
