eeek! I don't know about that last one though it sounds like b.s. but I would agree with the stuff pertaining to the stuff about your gums and enamel... sad stuff..

That being said...

Yes, there are risks. I've heard them all. I've personally never had problems, but I certainly wouldn't guarantee the same for everyone.

It's really up to you, honey. I'm sure you know by now that any foreign object in the body could meet with rejection or problems.

I've never had any problem with piercing rejections, and very little problem with them..

However, the thing about the lip piercing is that I've had problems with my gums before. And I can't afford to go to a dentist or anything to see what they think. So I'm unwilling to do it unless I have more information. I would love to be able to talk with you about this, since it's a piercing you've had before.

Honestly, if you have a history, I don't think you should risk it. The thing about lip rings is that you shouldn't keep them in for more than a few years, even if you don't have gum problems. They can be a very touchy piercing. I've seen people with receding gum lines and it's not something that can ever be corrected.

But again, it's up to you.
