I'm a dork...

Help me out motherfuckers. I have this web page now, but I don't know what the fuck I'm going to do with it. Give me ideas! Give me content! I put up some whack image I threw together real quick as a place holder so that the domain name would actually appear on-line, but aside from that I got nothing. If anyone has ANYTHING AT ALL they want to ( Read more... )

I gotta bunch of stuff I can scan and send, but its all pretty Japan-centric, and by that I mean its other people that i know here, and stuff...so if you wanna have a special part of the site reserved for the Japanese Bombunist Party, that's cool by me.

Just let me get to a scanner...

Yes! That works for me. I don't know if you want me to just take what you do and work it in somewhere, or if you want me to give you your own sub-page, which you could then maintain and design yourself. The only stipulations I have on pretty much anything is that the actual page (not the art work or anything else) has to fit with the psuedo-propaghanda aesthetic I'm going to aim for.

you have an opportuninty here to actually start a web comic. your fanbase has already started and with my word of mouth it could expand in no time.

Hey thanks for the support dude. I'd love to do a webcomic, the problem is consistently coming up with material. I'd probably be able to crank out five or six, then run dry for months. Ultimately, I think my goal is to kind of rip off Penny Arcade (if you're not familiar with it, http://www.penny-arcade.com ) meaning, have a web comic and then a "rant" like post to accompany it. If you want to contribute anything, please do. Even if you want to just write a little 3-4 panel strip and then send it to me to draw, that would be cool. Let me know, and thanks again.

Trent here. Put a web-board up on that beeotch so we don't have to spread our communication across several live journals. That would rock.

p.s. I want to make a comic book. I want to start some kind of business and exploit the talents of my friends.

Web board is a definite. The whole reason I decided to even do this was because I agree it's a bitch to have all these conversations scattered amongst several different journals. I want to make a comic too. In the meantime, like I told panall, if you want to write strips for myself (or any of us for that matter) to draw, that would be kick ass. Maybe if we got enough we could compile them into little booklets like they do with Liberty Meadows or other strips. Fuck dude, if you want to write anything, movie reviews, essays on economics, whatever, do it and give it to me. I don't anticipate this being some large scale project that people will take a lot of interest in, but I'd like to not totally squander the web space ( ... )

Trent here. Yeah dude. The online site is cool. I even like the domain name. Perhaps it could be a launching pad for a new comic, or rather the "company" behind that comic. I like the idea of an online comic, but a true-to-form printed comic sounds cool. How great would it be to hold the finished product in your hands.

Anyone know the business model behind comics. Meaning, how have other comics gotten off the ground? How is it usually done?

That's a sweet drawing on the holder page...that could be our logo, or something. Our logo for our company that doesn't exist. Maybe we can hype products that have not yet been produced by our company that has not yet been formed and sell people T-shirt prints of that design based on that hype alone. I'm reasonably sure that's how the real world works.

I shall think of some strips to write for you. ^_^ Any characters? plot points you want to accomplish?

Oh, and I love your bombunists pic, especially the red outlines

I don't have anything in particular I want to address, no. I'm seriously taking anything, so if you ever wanted to make a strip about the Easter Bunny, now is the time to do it because I'd be thrilled to have it. The site is just supposed to be a unified hosting spot for anything done by myself or anyone I know, saving us the time of having to dig through multiple Live Journals, Dead Journals, and Photobucket accounts to find it. Seriously, send me whatever you want, PLEASE!

Oh, and thanks for the compliment on the picture.
