I just read this article on Mashable: Hubble Spies Blue Planet - And It's Not Earth.

It says that the planet swoops around its parent star every 2.2 (earth) days. It got me thinking like an episode of Star Trek. So, if one of that planet's years is 2.2 earth days, if a human visited the planet and was effected by how time moves there, he/she ( Read more... )

I was glad this morning when Luna peed. I logged into LJ and started reading my flist and now I am in tears. My heart is absolutely broken for my long-time LJ friend, Pam, (lady_curmudgeon) who lost her beloved girl, Diva, last night. With Luna's urinary issues, her mortality is constantly on my mind. Luna's been sleeping ever since we got back from the vet. I guess rides to the vet are excruciatingly exhausting for her in her advanced age. She hasn't even gotten up to go use the box or anything yet. That's of concern to me since I want to see if she can go pee or not.

In my tamales post I originally wrote, "Last night I saw this Mexican woman selling tamales by a 7-Eleven and thought, 'Tamales sound good.'" Then, I thought, "Saying that a Mexican woman is selling tamales sounds a bit redundant. I mean, why mention her race unless she was not of Hispanic descent?" Last night I saw this woman selling tamales by a 7-Eleven and thought, "Tamales sound good." I stopped and bought four. She asked me if I wanted mild or spicy. I wanted spicy, of course.
