My mom expects me to get married and have kids so she can have grandkids or whatnot and I have absolutely noooo desire to do that.

At one point in time it was believed that I'd be the one that had all the kids (I have a brother) and not long after I graduated HS it changed to "I don't think you'll ever have kids, I guess your brother will have to give us grandkids." Well he has had one and another is on the way with his new woman. The first time he was married he had two wonderful stepkids but I haven't seen them in almost 2 years. I really thought my parents would throw an absolute tizzy about me living with Otter without being married but they didn't, we had a talk and that was about it. My mom still wants me to be married someday, although I suspect it's because she just wants me to have a nice wedding.

I am very fortunate as I am an only child and nobody is putting any pressure on me to have kids, which is good because I don't want any. Unless somebody gets on producing a sibling for me soon, the family line probably ends with me.
