Can I blame the weather?

Jul 12, 2010 11:09

I say it's too hot to do anything, to think even.

I am on holiday, was staying in a cabin in Belgium for a little week (which was lovely BTW and lots of fun) - but with no Internet access at all. Now I'm in Denmark staying in my dad's place - where there is good Internet access but where there's family to be visited and stuff my kids want to do, ( Read more... )

I was wondering if you had gone away somewhere. Probably because I know Amylu is away on holidays. Sounds like you are all having a nice time, even if the internet is somewhat scarce.

Well I just uploaded an OWBC chapter. Lol only took 10 months. O_o I will make sure to keep my heir poll going until you can get around to vote.

Oooo I am very excited to see your new chapter, I'll definitely read it tonight, though the comment may have to wait a bit longer.

We're in the middle of a thunderstorm right now, which is very entertaining. I've been watching it from the balcony of my dad's flat. I hope it might clear the air and help make the weather a bit less humid tomorrow.

I'm going into the city with my mum tomorrow night to hear my second-youngest sister play. It's just herself and her guitar in a 30 minute slot at a small cafe, but still I can't help feel very excited; I've never seen her live before - I mean - not in front of an audience that wasn't just family and friends.

Hope it's cooler now. It's winter over here, but it's so mild today I turned the heating off.

How exciting for her. Hope she 'kills them' I think that's what you say...? LOl.

Wow, Cape Cod, that sounds great. - As does the "reading/talking/eating/other relaxing activities" part. :D
I know, I should not spoil my holiday with feeling that I am neglecting the simming community, and I do feel better after making this post. :)

I'm on holiday as well... and with family too. Though my internet visiting isn't quite so restricted. Work days allow several hours access to the internet when not watching family dogs.

Watching the dogs eh? Not a chore for you, I hope.

I'm finding that though I may have time to go on-line now and then, I get interrupted quite a lot which breaks my concentration, which then makes it hard for me to put together even semi-sensible comments.

Just have to make sure the dogs don't fight with each other or eat the grass.

You'll have plenty time to read and catch up with all the sims stuff once you return. Hope you are enjoying your holiday to the fullest.

Eat grass? Like cats do - to make themselves sick?

Thanks Blue, I am trying not to fret about missing the simming community, I must keep my relationship with the Internet healthy, if nothing else to set a good example for my kids. :P

I updated Gunky and I miss you a lot.

I'm glad you're having fun! That's awesome about your sister and the guitar. What was Belgium like?

I got Valley listed at the Web Fiction Guide!

http://webfictionguide.com/listings/valley-of-the-sun/

I fail at converting Celsius to Fahrenheit, but it's pretty hot here too (got to 100 degrees Fahrenheit a few days ago) so I can commiserate.

*hugs*

Oh I did see it Misty, and meant to comment too. *sadpout* Might get time for it after this.
Belgium was great, we did something different every day while there. I am glad the heat didn't arrive till just the day before we left, I don't think I'd have enjoyed it as much if it had been that hot all the time.
Hey, congrats on getting into the Web Fiction Guide - I never even knew a thing like that existed, but I should've guessed.
