*hugs* I find Facebook rather un-nerving at the best of times - I mean, do I really want my family and work colleagues (especially the latter) to know everything about my fandom life? Not that I am ashamed or anything (why should I be?!) but the blank, non-comprehending stares and trying to explain why I might see the same play four times... life's just too short!
Can I just ask (and apologies for my ignorance) what are POC and BME? And which film were you talking about?
Ah, now I get it! Thanks for the clarification! Racism is indeed a touchy subject and I guess people are quick to accuse aren't they! I remember being utterly shocked as a teen when my (late) father told me that if I ever dated a black man he would disown me - me being the rebellious creature that I was, was enraged by this (I had several black friends of whom he disapproved) and immediately felt like doing just that - which with the wisdom of age I now see was probably racist in its own way...
Awwww, that sucks :( I've seen quite a lot of nastiness on FB, so I never really look on my own account XD I haven't seen that many social justice bloggers on there though! One must've gotten confused and wandered onto the wrong blue-coloured website O_o
