Good to see some of you are still here. Haven't posted here in years, perhaps decades! All my friends here have sadly been dormant for a long time. I miss LJ. Far more civilised than all the other "social media".

That is such a poignant inscription. And very unusual - I don't think I've ever come across an inscription before where the name was omitted.

Awesome pics. I love the history of this site a lot, and can easily imagine what those stones might have seen.

I rather think that tree is curling itself around the stonework to protect it and bring it closer.
