9/11

Okay... today is 9/11. One of the most darkest day in American History. Listen. You may have different views on it. And I am sure that some of you out there don't care. But guess what? I DO care. So... listen. Okay? I decided not to make a big rant, or a tribute or anything like that. Because I have really gone into great detail this week why I ( Read more... )

Personally, if I had died, I would want the people who knew me to go out and do something fun rather than dwell on my death, since I couldn't be there to do it myself. Just sayin'.

Also, I don't really like the media coverage of it. Everyone deals with this sort of thing in their own way. I don't want to watch the dead die again. I did it once. That doesn't mean I don't think it's a terrible tragedy or that the people who died should be forgotten. I'd just rather the media would stay out of my grief so I could watch the flippin' television.

That goes for you too, History/Science/Discovery/etc Channel. You've been telling me how the Towers collapsed all day for the last five years. If you're going to do a memorial, diversity plz. And if it has anything to do with Nostradamus, I will CUT YOU.

So, short version: I respect the day. I just don't want to constantly relive it.

See, this is where you and I differ. I believe in order to respect and remember things, you must put yourself in that persons place. I would have to say I am glad I didn't die, but if I had of known it would have stopped teh whole thing from happening, I would have put myself in the position to save someone else. I jsut either am totally stupid, or care too much ( ... )

Nah, we're perfectly cool. Like I think I said somewhere in the middle of my ramblings, we all deal with grief, tragedy, and loss in a different way. And, since I didn't feel like spamming my f-list with a 9/11 post of my own, I sort hijacked yours to get my thoughts down XD Sorry?

Aw, thanks. It isn't that great. I have written better. I wish it would have rymthed, but then if it had the entire time, it would have sounded forced and childish. I thank you. I'll post it on myspace tonight.
