I wait! I do know one thing: je ne sais pas. This is what I say to the French students when they talk to me.

take a good look at it. i mean, a really goooood look (at the catalan, not the german). you'll be able to pick things out. sooner or later you'll start to realize little things like, "hi ha"="hay" and "he de"="tengo que", etc. etc. it all comes with practice.

catalan, after all, is of the same root latin that castellano comes from. :)
