Glee Spoilers

So first things first, I joined twitter and my username is gilymouse.

Now onto the Glee spoilers from the Comic Con panel.

- A Rocky Horror episode. Not at all surprised, I was just thinking the other day when they were going to do that, it is so made for this show.

- A religion episode, where two of the songs will be "Losing My Religion" and "Papa Can you Hear Me?". We will also see Mercedes at her church - cue lots of gospel singing - and Kurt will go with her.  This is one of those episodes that will be really good or really bad, there is no in between, it better not be an after school special though.

That said, I can cross another song off my Lea wishlist, I figured at some point we would get something from Yentl, given Rachel's Streisand obsession and we already had a Yentl reference in "Acafellas".

There are some interesting things they can explore here, as long as they don't get too heavyhanded with it.

- The Britney episode will be called Brittany/Britney and revolve around Brittany and be very halucinagenic. The only way to do it, lol. I do love also that they are having Mr Shue refusing to do any Britney songs due to Matt's objections, good move Ryan.

- We already knew they were cutting down on the music a bit to allow for more character moments, a good move.

- Chris Colfer is still campaigning for Julie Andrews as his grandmother. While I love Julie, I think that might be a little too meta, although not quite as meta as if they cast Streisand as Rachel's grandmother, lol.

-Tina and Artie breaking up and Tina and Mike dating. While this might be one of those one episode things, I'm not sure how I feel about this. That said it is high school and it will be interesting to see a bit more development for Mike Chang.  Matt (Dijon) still can't seem to get any love.

-The first half of the season premiere will be devoted to catching up with what everyone did over summer. As a Finchel fan I am happy about this as I didn't want to miss out on the early days of their relationship if they jumped straight to a few months after Regionals.

Ryan also said they will be back at ground zero after losing Regionals but I also remember Ian Brennan saying, and I think it was mentioned in passing here that there will be more of a focus on winning this season, so I hope that means we see more rehearsals and not just performances thrown together at the last moment.  Sure, we can't just have the same songs every week, but it would be nice to see them doing real rehearsals like we saw Shelby doing with VA.

- More on the home lives - Mercedes, Artie, and finally maybe Rachel's dads. As I mentioned in an earlier post, Ryan seems to have changed his tune about holding off until season three. Maybe he has given into pressure or maybe they just came up with a good storyline. Whatever it will be nice to see more than just the Hummel and Hudson home lives.

Of course on that, Ryan is promising to revisit the Kurt/Finn thing, and have more Kurt/Finn/Burt interactions. I'm ok with it as long as it doesn't become repetitive and it doesn't get given priority over all the other family stories.

- If we needed any further proof that Kurt is mini-Ryan, Ryan admitted he wants Kurt and his boyfriend to rule the school so he can have a better high school experience than he did. Fine Ryan, just don't let it overwhelm the rest of the show.

- Kristen and Idina return. We knew about Kristen - and I am ok with that as long as they work her into the show in the way they did in "Rhodes" rather than "Home" - but I am ecstatic about Idina.

Not only does it mean more Idina/Lea duets, but hopefully they will start to resolve things with Rachel and Shelby and have Shelby begin to realise that her older daughter does need her presence in her life.

But I agree with Amy. No interaction with Quinn and Puck, it is way too soon.  The only way we should see Beth is Rachel dealing with the idea of Shelby adopting her and coming to terms with that, but nothing more.
