Has anyone looked at the casting for the HBO Song of Ice and Fire pilot? It's shockingly GOOD. Like, Sean Bean good. There are tiny flutters of hope in my heart.

Although hope for the book series to be finished in my lifetime is long dead. Eff you GRRM.

Life is very transitional right now. But I feel like I am making good decisions, at least most of the time. How are you? *HUGS*

Good transition is good.

Am just man-hunting so if you know any good single men, let me know.

Thank you! *hugs* I should be around more. I do lurk, it's just hard to get back into the swing of posting regularly when you've taken a long break from it.

*glomps* Even if you're rarely posting and have gone into lurkdom, it's still good to know there is a Mouse around. :)

The casting is looking good, the idea of Lena Headey as Ceresei is just delicious. Let's hope the script, direction, etc turn out to be just as good!

Agreed! She was awesome in 300, maybe she'll make me like Cersei.

It's good to be about. I need a fandom to talk about though. Must get busy and download Merlin episodes I think.

Yeah, the casting is AWESOME! Too bad the story's not finished. I wonder how HBO's going to cope with that little wrinkle?

(Even if GRRM pulls off a miracle and finishes A Dance with Dragons, I honestly don't know if I'll buy it. It's been so long, I no longer remember all the plot wrinkles, and I don't have enough time to go back and reread the other four books first. Very frustrating!)

As it stands they haven't even committed to filming the entire first book, so I guess they'll worry about book 5 if/when they actually come to it. I really hope that considering the vast amount of story material to cover, they won't feel the need to make up their own.

I'm sure you won't even need to read the book when it comes out because everyone who does will spoil all the plot details on here.
