if you know her SSN (and I'm sure you do), you can always go to your local office with your own ID and request another copy.

I'd lost mine when my bag got stolen & hadn't replaced it. Kinda need that for when you get employed *G* so I went down with my photo id & it was only about 5-10 minutes work in the frederick office.

YMMV, as I'm not sure what the rules are for kids ids. but it couldn't hurt to get a backup copy.
