I am so glad that I will never have to be in middle school again - hopefully never as a student - and never as a teacher. The past two weeks have been long and boring and I feel awful for most of the students I observed in these classes. I cannot imagine myself as a teacher of such monotony - it will not do. Thank goodness it is all over

In High School I did some community service (volunteer), and helped at a middle shcool. The kids were miserable, and by extension so was the experience.
Towards the end of the semester, one of the kids had been taken to juvenile hall for molesting his neighbor's 5-year old daughter. Damn, that that blew my mind.
