I want an iPod! I can't really afford a fancy-dancy iPod...but I want some sort of small MP3 player that I can load some tunes on to listen to when I start walking on my lunch hour (when it warms up of course)! But, alas, I am iPod stupid...shut up Kiki...and I don't really know what I NEED (you know, like how much space is enough space and all ( Read more... )

Well, girl, you know how I love my iPod, Lime Time. It's one of these. It's the 30GB size, and right now only about 1/2 full but I've got lots of stuff on it. And it holds lots and lots of iCandy and has room for lots more. You really do need something to hold iCandy.

It was spendy, though. But as long as I can manage not to lose it, it's probably worth it. I have not loved an appliance this much since, well, never mind. :P

See..I agree that you should always be able to carry some iCandy around! Plus lots and lots of that iCandy's music!!

I have gone back and forth about wanting one...you know, I want one but don't need one sorta talk! But I REALLY AND TRULY AM going to start walking at lunch time or at night (if it ever really makes up it's mind about the weather here) plus there is the whole plane ride to Cali in May and then those times I don't really feel like reading when riding the exercise bike and and and...

And I want a purple one...can't find a purple one!

I guess I should balance my checkbook and figure out if I can splurge or not...after I buy new walking tennis'!

Okay, first of all: It is ALWAYS a John Taylor day.

I have a 20GB iPod and it is FULL (about 5,000 songs). I have to constantly re-prioritize what I want to have on it. When I buy (or acquire from my lovely friends) new music, I have to take something off so I can add the new stuff. I should have asked for a bigger one, but oh well. You work with what you got.

Even if I'd actually had to pay for it and it wasn't a Christmas gift, it would've been worth every nickel. Hands down, it is one of the best things ever.

I have a 256MB MP3 player that needs a home. It isn't fancy, but it works.

Do you think you might be interested in selling it to a poor mp3 player-less friend?!

You can have it. It has been sitting at the bottom of my purse crying.

I have the same one as freecookiesnow and I adore it because it holds tons of music, videos and pictures, though it does have its drawbacks, such as the overstated battery length and the vulnerability to scratching. If you want the battery to last the promised amount of time, you can't use any of the fun features, including equalizer. And you need to keep it in a case to prevent surface marks, which kind of defeats the purpose of it being all shiny and pretty. But I digress.

For $150, you can go with the 1G version of the iPod Nano. It's nice and small, and if you don't intend to store a lot of music on your MP3 player, it's ideal. I went for the 30G because I like having a lot of my music available to me at all times, plus it's handy for long trips. If the only place you're going to use your MP3 is for exercise though, I'd say go with the small one. If you think you'll become addicted to using your iPod like I am, save up and get the big one. There are, of course, other brands out there, but iPod is all I know, and it's the most popular ( ... )

Yeah, so I was in the middle of a response to you from work when my boss came in acting like a tool!

So, I met bigferret for dinner tonight and she gave me the MP3 player that she doesn't use anymore! So, I am gonna get me some earphones and go with that for now...so at least I will have music and I can save up to get an iPod! *happy dance*

But I think I will go with the Nano. I checked it out nd it holds about 500 songs which is good enough for working out and plane rides and whatnot!
